CAFA is very proud of its cultural and recreational contributions to Canada. From the first day, there has been involvement with the arts that has stretched over the years to include its members being on the Edmonton Arts Council as well working various projects at the Provincial Museum.

CAFA has also been a member of the Edmonton Heritage Festival since its inception, winning a number of awards.  Currently The Arab Heritage Pavilion holds the honor of the longest ever winning pavilion in the following areas:

Best Pavilion Management, (12 years in total)

Most Innovative Pavilion,  (6 years in total)

Best Kitchen,  (seven years in total)


It has also won:

Best Entertainment. (2 years)

Most Culturally Authentic (3 years)

Arabian Knights

The Arabian Knights Dance Troupe have been performing the traditional Arabic folkloric dance since 1967. The Knights range in ages from 6 to 26 years old.

Canadian Arab Soccer Club

The Canadian Arab Soccer Club has been in existence since 1989. The team has moved up in ranks winning, division, city, and provincial championships through the Edmonton and District Soccer Association. There are both indoor and outdoor teams that play all year around.

In the Community

CAFA promotes the cultural aspects of the Arab community at many functions, and in schools, with information booths, and food samples, as well as dance performances.
